tribunal

set on an arsonic stage
swathed in murky shadows.
detonated a life
without chance of
glowing embers.
spectator to
advanced lessons of blaze and flame.

fervor coated against the ink
was the tattoo already burning in me?
an arsenic DNA match
sliding across flint?

Erupting upon every day
and every facet.
wondering why fair skin always burned
as my back turned away,
moving to the next inferno
faded by the brilliance of flame
dreaming of ash and cinders.
trial by the love
of fire.
